S. Robin Gillis, MSMHC, brings a diverse professional background and years of broad-based experience in the Human Services/Mental Health field, along with a strong neuroscience-based training in child development. She attended University of Delaware and then later transferred to Springfield College where she obtained her BS in Human Services. She then returned to Springfield College to obtain her Master of Science in Psychology-Human Services-Mental Health Counseling. She brings years of experience in school-based, home-based, hospital outpatient and community-based counseling. She has worked with children and their families using Cognitive Behavior Therapy and parent-child interaction techniques through modeling learned behaviors and skills as a tool in her sessions. Robin is a certified parent educator and child care provider facilitator/trainer, specializing in child development (prenatal through age 18 encompassing neuroscience with the four domains of development).
